Spain - On The Road Again
I’m in love with this show on PBS. Two cooks (Mario Batali and Mark Bittman) and two celebrities (Gwenyth Paltrow and Claudia Bassols) travel the roads of Spain in a Mercedes convertible, stopping at amazing restaurants, farms, and food producers. They meet all sorts of characters and hijinx often ensue.
I have respect for Mark Bittman—the guy is an encyclopedia of food knowledge and practical, make-do recipes. I don’t know much about Mario Batali, but his line of cookware is quality stuff. Claudia Bassols just exudes passionate Spanish sexiness. It’s a fun show to get lost in for half an hour.
